Our
Story

Dr. Debra B. Morton has been a resident of New Orleans East for over 30 years and a trailblazer in the community. Geaux N.O.E. (New Orleans East), one of her latest initiatives, is near and dear to her heart. Her nonprofit organization, D.B. Morton Ministries seeks to provide an environment and community that is conducive to holistic development via this program. D.B. Morton Ministries endeavors to provide strategies for self-empowerment and communal engagement.

The primary objective is to create a  sustainable and equitable community in the East through revitalization, restoration, and reduction of waste and dependency on nonrenewable resources. In order to revisit the strong foundation of New Orleans East origin, we are committed to partnering with the City and other organizations.
